Der Tunneltrick:

Place the dog house in a place that your dog already knows well and likes to visit. Remove the back wall of the dog house so that it looks like a dog tunnel. Place her favorite familiar blanket or toy in the house to attract her. This method has often proven to be effective in gradually getting dogs used to the house.

The food lure trick:

A tried and tested approach to gradually getting your dog used to the kennel is the food lure trick. Place the kennel in a familiar place and regularly place small portions of her favorite food inside. Start by placing the food right in front of the entrance and slowly increase the distance until the food is completely inside the kennel. This way, your dog will develop positive associations between the kennel and her meals and will gradually feel more comfortable in it. Patience is key here as this process can take some time.

Positive reinforcement:

Reward your dog when she approaches or goes into the kennel. Praise her and give her treats to create positive associations with the kennel. Often it helps to put treats in the kennel and have the dog get them out.

Patience and time:

Every dog has its own pace. Give your dog plenty of time to get used to the kennel. Do not rush her and avoid forcing her into the kennel.

Joint activities:

Spend time near the kennel to show your dog that it is a pleasant place to be. Play with her or lie down near the kennel to stimulate her curiosity.
